Equity School Improvement
BLOC must work with school buildings and all teachers to ensure they have the culture and environment to sustain Black men in education. Professional development, technical assistance, and executive coaching create school buildings that nurture all educators and students, especially those least represented. This program partners with over 10 schools and 1000+ teachers in the KC Metro area.
Professional Development
Throughout the program, we offer four professional developments. These initiatives dedicate time to enhancing our educators’ understanding and implementation of DEI principles. They encompass topics like understanding and combating implicit bias, promoting cultural competence, and building inclusive classrooms
Engagement
The ESIP has engaged over 500 educators across multiple school districts. This wide-ranging involvement is a testament to our reach and the interest educators have in promoting DEI in their schools.
Potential Partnership Luncheon
Our Potential Partnership Luncheon is a resounding success, drawing the attendance of representatives from over 14 school districts. This event opened dialogue and fostered relationships that we anticipate will lead to further collaboration and partnerships in the future.
