Utilizing Hip Hop Pedagogy for Authentic Learning & Expression

This year’s professional development series will use Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, to access methods and means to increase authentic learning and expression for students, teachers, and staff.

Each session will be modeled after songs from the 2022 album and facilitated by BLOC members with expertise. This year’s themes include mentorship, joy, social-emotional learning, masculinity, adversity, and representation.
